The South African Police Services in Gauteng is investigating a murder case after a 42-year-old woman who was set alight lost a battle fighting for her life in Sebokeng Hospital since 26th of October 2024.Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, said Linell du Toit passed away on November 3 in hospital after her partner allegedly poured petrol over her and set her on fire. SEBOKENG – The Sebokeng SAPS is investigating a case of murder following the death of a 47-year-old Lesotho national, Motsamai Modibedi, believed to be the victim of mob justice.On the 12 October 2024, officers responded to reports of mob violence and found Modibedi’s lifeless body, wearing black pants without a shirt, bearing red marks and head injuries.Preliminary reports indicate he was attacked by community members after allegedly stabbing another individual in the area. ORANGE FARM: The latest mass shooting incident, this time in Gauteng, has claimed the lives of seven people after they were gunned down in Orange Farm at a skwatta camp well known as Mokokotlong.The incident occurred in the early hours on October 13th, at the Mokokotlong.According to Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili, preliminary investigations indicated that the shooting occurred following an altercation between a tavern owner and one of the victims.The tavern owner allegedly followed the victim home and opened fire inside the house, killing those inside and injuring others.
