The Democratic Alliance (DA) has questioned the misuse of public funds and negligence of the degrading Deneysville Sports Ground, despite the community infrastructure being allocated R14-million for upgrading in the 2014/2015 annual budget. VANDERBJILPARK – The Emfuleni local municipality on Monday 26th of August 2024, left more than 100 households in limbo after it cut off power to the non-paying residents. A 44-year-old man was arrested in Walkerville, Vaal Triangle by SAPS Sedibeng region after the discovery of a cloned police vehicle and other illegal items.The arrest follows an intelligence-driven operation led by the Johannesburg Crime Intelligence and the Soweto K9 unit. During the operation, law enforcement officers recovered a range of alarming items, including a VW Golf marked with cloned police registration number plates and police call signs. Parys – On the 26th of August 2024, the Parys Regional Court sentenced Jacky Khoabe to life in prison and another five years for assaulting his 23-year-old girlfriend.The 28-year-old accused was arrested on charges relating to Gender-based Violence following an incident that happened on the 4th of September 2023.
