Occasional licenses to sell alcohol at events or gathering are not a permanent greenlight that allows holders to trade in booze. This was the warning from the MEC of Economic Development in the Gauteng province Tasneem Motara while on an outreach program in Sebokeng, Zone 14 in Gauteng. ANC veteran Dimakatso Mamrobi was given a fitting send off during her burial in Bophelong, Vaal Triangle in Gauteng recently. There to bid her farewell was speaker of national parliament Nosiviwe Mapisa Nqakula who was accompanied by her husband, former minister of police Charles Nqakula. Mamrobi died after a long illness at her home in Bophelong this month. The funeral service was also attended by the ANC senior politicians in the Vaal, including Madisebo Kgomoeasera, Maipato Tsokolibane and Nelisiwe Mbatha. The trains are finally coming… The vandalism of railway lines linking the Vaal Triangle to the Joburg metropolitan city and subsequent stoppage of movement has had multiple negative effects on commuters and business alike. This was more evident when hundreds of frustrated workers failed to travel to the International Workers Day on Wednesday May 01 in Johannesburg due to hiked transport fares and unavailability of trains.
